GRENADA, MISSISSIPPI – April 10, 2024 – The Carlos Moore Law Group has been retained by the family of Catanna Francois, a 15-year-old student at Nichols Middle School in Canton, who was assaulted by the school’s resource officer on April 4. The family is determined to pursue accountability for the incident, which left them deeply distressed.
According to Francois, she was physically and verbally assaulted by the officer after seeking permission to use the restroom. The family expresses deep concern and distress over the incident and lack of communication from the school.
